St. Michael's Castle
Saint Michael's Castle is a part of The Russian Museum complex. Built in honor of saint patron of Paul I it was meant to protect the emperor from all the frauds. Did not help him much - because that was the place where he was assassinated very short time after moving in. They say that his ghost is still wandering around - go find out if you are a mystery lover.
Besides Michael's Castle houses the exhibition of sculpture preserved in the Russian museum demonstrating the most spectacular items in brand-new halls specifically reconstructed for their needs. Along with that you can explore beautiful royal interiors and collections of art that belonged to Romanov family.
